  1. I don't know what sail to choose.

When choosing a sail, please read the information below to find the best solution for you.

Can be chosen:

type of material:

-premium decor -provides almost 100% shading, only partially obscuring the area it provides shade. It is available in four colors: white, beige, gray (gray) and green. It is made of a strong material with a weight of 200g / m2, it is impregnated to also protect against light rain. It is unacceptable for water to remain on the surface of the sail, you even have to drain it manually if it remains. Installing the sail at an angle will help to drain the water automatically, but if there are unfavorable weather conditions, it may turn out that the angle will have to be increased even above 450 (the angle is variable and depends on the current conditions).

Thanks to the water resistance, it will allow you to finish the feasting when it starts to rain. If the material is soaked with moisture from the environment, it will start to let the water flow through. The seams are not waterproof.

The material is very durable, but must be dismantled if the wind is too strong.

HDPE- it gives a lot, because about 95% of shading. It comes in gray and sand color. Suspended at an angle, it will drain water partially. It is very durable, you can make sizes even larger than 25 m2, but it must be attached to solid structures, it has a weight of 285 g / m2. It allows excess water to pass, which makes it less maintenance-friendly. The sail must be disassembled if the wind is too strong, the more often the larger the surface area. Recommended in public spaces and with large sail sizes.

-Mesh mesh gives about 60% of the shade, and has a grammage of up to 270g / m2, it is available only in the factory white color (it is possible to print one-sided on the material), water flows through it like through a sieve. This makes the sail easier to use. 60% of the shading will prevent heating of the paving stones, concrete, tiles on the terrace, windows next to the house. It darkens the room the least, with the window shaded by a sail. Suitable for a place where you feast. If the place where it is to hang is intended for resting in a lying or reclining position on a deckchair, reading a book, working at a computer, 60% may turn out to be insufficient, because the sun will dazzle. In such a case, decor premium or HDPE material should be considered.

You often have to dismantle the sail from the MESH net when the wind blows, the more often its surface is, because the material is dimensionally very stable (the fastening eyelet will tear faster than it will stretch the material by even 1 cm on the side of 5m).

SAIL TYPE

  • Sails mounted in the corners, with or without print
  • The sails are sliding
  • Decorative sliding sails - Roman blinds
  • Roman and gazebo belts

METHOD OF FINISHING A SAIL MOUNTED IN THE CORNERS WITH DECOR PREMIUM

  • The sides are cut into an arch to a depth of about 20 cm
  • Sides cut straight
  • Sewn-in steel cord in the tunnels
  • Stitched eyelets for water drainage
  • Sewn-on ear from the top for hanging

CAUTION

It is possible to use other materials and finishing methods, but in this case, please contact an advisor at office@shade4you.eu

  1. I don't know what material to choose the sail from.

You can also find a hint in question 1

Our company makes sails mainly from three types of material:

It is available in gray and beige. Suspended at an angle, it will drain water partially. It is very durable, you can make sizes even larger than 25 m2, but it must be attached to solid structures, it has a weight of 285 g / m2. It lets excess water in, which makes it less maintenance-friendly. The sail must be disassembled if the wind is too strong, the more often the larger the surface area. Recommended in public spaces and with large sail sizes.

It darkens the room the least, with the window shaded by a sail. Suitable for a place where you feast. If the place where it is to hang is intended for resting in a lying or reclining position on a sun lounger, reading a book, working at a computer, 60% may turn out to be insufficient, because the sun will dazzle. You then have to consider premium or HDPE material.

You often have to dismantle the sail from the MESH net when the wind blows, the more often its surface is, because the material is dimensionally very stable (the fastening eyelet will tear faster than it will stretch the material by even 1 cm on the side of 5m).

  1. Do I need a sail with construction, assembly and consulting or do you provide comprehensive service?

We are a typical production company that implements customers' ready ideas. We have created all products with easy self-assembly in mind. We do not offer measurement, design and assembly services. We do not offer any construction, but we provide comprehensive advice.

We advise on the basis of the uploaded photos of the place where the sail is to hang and the distance between the mounting points. We send back a proposal for shading to the e-mail with a quote and photos on various structures with a link to the assembly film. You can also consult by phone so that we can help you choose the most advantageous and practical option for you. Consultations at the company's premises are not possible.

Construction- We do not offer ready-made structures. You should look for a market locally in your area. The most popular are wooden structures, offered by, for example, carpenters or companies dealing with garden architecture. You can be inspired by the photos on our website, where we show a lot of different structures, terraces and various solutions with different facade colors.

Measurementshould be performed by yourself, measuring the distances between potential mounting points. On this basis, our technician selects the size so that it fits in the place where it is to hang and looks similar to the film and photos.

Assembly - our products are for self-assembly, e.g. on wooden constructions, they mainly boil down to screwing screws into the wood.

On www.zaglesloneczne.euThere are videos on which the assembly of products is shown step by step. These films were shot in such a way as to dispel any doubts.

If it is not possible to do it yourself, you should find a local company to do it. If there was no structure before, customers use the company that made it to install the sail as well. Sails are not new to the market, several thousand of them are sold annually. Companies dealing with garden architecture, pergolas, carpenters, "handymen" will not have any problems to mount the sail to the previously prepared place.

  1. How do sails behave in the wind?

In the wind, sun sails behave like real sails, i.e. catch the wind. Sails and curtains should be dismantled or moved to the side (for sliding sails) the more often the larger their surface. Mesh sails, despite their perforation, are the least resistant to wind.

  1. Does the sail have a top (right and left)?

The sails have right and left sides.

Sails made of decor premium material cannot be exposed to the sun on the left side (the side with the fold of the fabric and the SunShade tag).

Mesh sails- it is recommended to hang it with the right side up (the eyelet on the fabric on the right side is smooth). The left side of the corners has a folded cloth.

  1. Do you make sails for individual orders? How to buy a sail for an individual order?

We make sails for individual orders. Sails fixed in the corners squares and rectangles and sliding sails, Roman blinds and curtains with a standard finish as described in the store can be purchased directly in the storewww.zaglesloneczne.eu. If you need:

  • Sizes (very small or very large) that cannot be selected in the store
  • Triangles,
  • Other polygons,
  • Non-standard finish, e.g. additional mounting points,
  • Different colors,
  • Sails with graphics

A photo should be sent to an e-mail with a hand-drawn drawing (very important !!! top view - the material has a right and left side) and with dimensioned distances between the mounting points. In the case of irregular quadrilaterals, it is necessary to specify also one diagonal to unambiguously define the shape. A reply will come with information about the feasibility. We recommend sails up to 20m2, with a side not exceeding 7m, but it is possible to make larger sails.

  1. Will it be possible to draw a large sail, a sliding sail, and a roller blind?

The greater the distance between the mounting point, the more difficult it is to tighten the sail. The turnbuckle, which we offer in the assembly kits, is sufficient for the distance between the assembly points even 6-8 m. If the distance is longer, consider using 2 turnbuckles or purchasing 1 larger turnbuckle.

Sails fixed in the corners made of decor premium material -if the edge of the sail is tight, do not tighten any more. It is impossible to obtain a flat surface from the sail, the sail must "work" with the center, thanks to which it is mounted primarily in the corners, and not on its entire surface.

Sails fixed at the corners of mesh mesh - if after mounting the sail and after tensioning, you can see undulations on the diagonal, it means that you need to release tension on it.

Sliding sails, curtains and Roman blinds are nottensioned - the lines are tightened and they are freely threaded through them. They should be secured at the end and beginning against free sliding and sliding. They look exactly like in the photos.

  1. Can the strength of the sail be increased?

You can increase the strength of the mesh sail - reinforcing the corners with stitching for an additional fee.

Premium decor and HDPE sails are made of a very strong material, the threads used for production are also very strong. There is an option to finish the sail with a steel rope in tunnels.

  1. At what height should the sail be hung?

The sails are most often mounted at a height of 2.3-2.7 meters above the surface they are to provide shade. Thanks to this, they do not interfere with the use of space. The higher the sail is mounted, the faster the shadow will run away from the surface of the sail as the day passes and it will dazzle the rising and setting sun.

In Roman blinds, if they are installed at a height of 2.5 m, the sliding handle is approx. 2-2.1 m, so an adult can easily reach it.

  1. Can I choose a larger / smaller sail than those listed on the website?

Yes (see also question 10), but there are some limitations as their exploitation would be very difficult or even impossible:

Sails are fixed at the corners- the sail area should not exceed 20 m2, and with HDPE - 30 m2. The side length should not exceed 7 m.

The sails are sliding- the area should not exceed 16 m2. The width should not be greater than 3m (you have to divide it into smaller ones if it exceeds). The length should not exceed 6-7m.

Roman blinds- the area should not exceed 20 m2. We have a width of up to 3m as standard, and a width of up to 4.5m for individual orders. It is possible to make larger widths, but we advise you to always divide them into two smaller ones if the width is greater than 4.5 m. The length should not exceed 6m.

In special cases, you can make sails much larger, but it is best to contact the advisor directly by phone: 518 537 385.

  1. Can you make an unusual shape?

Yes, and it will be treated as custom production. See question 6

  1. Can you make sails in a different color?

Yes, especially if a larger amount of material will be needed for production, it is worth sending a request for a specific color by e-mail: office@shade4you.eu. However, it should be remembered that the number of colors for materials that are suitable and ensure our high quality is limited. We can also make a one-sided print with any graphic.

  1. What can be the largest sail size? 10

The length should not exceed 6-7m

Roman blinds- the area should not exceed 20 m2. We make widths up to 3m as standard, and on individual orders up to 4.5m. It is possible to make larger widths, but we advise you to always divide them into two smaller ones if the width is greater than 4.5 m. The length should not exceed 6m.

In special cases, you can make sails much larger, but it is best to contact the advisor directly by phone: 518 537 385.

  1. What can be the greatest distance between the mounting points? question 13

The length should not exceed 6-7m

  1. How should a sail be tilted, a Roman blind, a retractable sail?

  1. The sails should primarily be inclined westward for their intended use. Thanks to this, the shadow does not escape from the surface of the sail as the day passes.
  2. Sails in Poland, due to easier operation, can also be inclined to the east (when it rains and winds blow from the west, the water will be thrown by the wind from the surface of the sail).
  3. The sails should be inclined from the house to the garden if they are mounted against the wall of a building so that water is not drained against the wall.
  4. Roman blindsif they extend directly along the wall of the building, they should be inclined from the house to the garden to drain water to the garden. If they extend from the house to the garden, they should be tilted to the side to drain water more easily, and if they are two next to each other, they should be tilted outwards so that they do not drain water to the center of the terrace.

Caution!!! If there are three Roman blinds next to each other - the water will flow onto the terrace. To remedy this, you can install roller shutters at different heights, bearing in mind that the difference in levels would have to be at least 25 cm. It is easier to verify the size and direction of the slide opening to find a more practical solution. We invite you to call us at 518 537 385

  1. Will there be water on the sail?

Sails made of HDPE material and meshthey let the water pass. Only heavy rain may not be discharged on a regular basis (it may happen in summer locally in Poland), then it is worth having the sail dismantled, the more so as the downpours are often accompanied by strong winds.

Sails made of decor Premium materialthey are impregnated on the left side, thanks to which they protect against rain, as long as the sail does not soak up water from the environment, until then it will not let it pass to the other side. It is unacceptable for water to remain on the sail surface, therefore you can:

  • Tighten the corner-mounted sail and tilt it so that the water runs over the surface of the sail (this may not be sufficient for heavy rain or winds). Remember that effective drainage depends on several local conditions at the same time.
  • For corner-mounted sails, order the loops from the top and lift the center of the sail to drain water to the side;
  • For sails mounted in the corners and extending sails, order eyelets for the drainage system to drain the water in a controlled manner and in a designated place;
  • Drain the water by hand;
  • Slide the sliding sail and Roman blind aside and secure it so that it does not catch water;
  • Install the Roman roller blind in such a way that one side of the roller blind is lower (e.g. by installing the lines in such a way that, while maintaining parallelism between the lines, one line is higher, the second one lower, the third one even lower).

  1. How to clean the sails? - see information sheets / leaflets

Mesh sailscan be cleaned by hand with water and a sponge or cloth or, if they are unprinted, also with pressure washers. Mesh, due to the fact that it is very stiff, is NOT SUITABLE for washing in a washing machine, the material breaks more than it creases.

HDPE sails- the material should be cleaned by hand with a soft brush and soap with neutral pH or with a garden hose kept at a distance of about 0.5 m from the material, without using aggressive detergents

Sails made of decor premium material and meshflag with or without print can be washed by hand or in a washing machine at 300C, without spinning and automatic drying, using a delicate washing detergent (DO NOT USE bleach). Aggressive washing agents can destroy the fabric, and in the case of premium fabrics, they can cause the impregnation applied to the fabric to be washed off with one wash (normally enough for about 10 washes).

  1. Do you have to dismantle the sails for the winter?

In order to maintain their properties and aesthetic appearance as long as possible, the sails should be washed after the summer season: washed / cleaned, thoroughly dried and stored in a dry place.

  1. Can the material discolor?

Premium decor material has the right to discolor up to 8% within a year (colors will fade and white may turn yellow). It is very important to mount the sail correctly. The sail has a UV resistant top and a bottom that cannot be exposed to direct sunlight, so it is very important to mount the sail correctly.

  1. How long will the sail last?

A lot depends on the operating conditions.Customers most often replace sails made of premium material installed in the corners after approx. 3-4 years, mesh sails after approx. 2-3 years, and Roman blinds after approx. 4-5 years. This is due not so much to some damage to the sails, but to the desire to refresh the space / change the concept / color, etc.

  1. How much shadow does a sail give?

-Mesh mesh gives about 60% shade - depends on the angle of incidence of sunlight and is variable over the course of the day. The shade intensity also depends on the height of the sail (the higher the shade, the less intense the shadow). 60% of the shading will prevent heating of the paving stones, concrete, tiles on the terrace, and the window next to the house. It darkens the room the least, with a window that shades. Suitable for a place where you feast. If the place where it is to hang is intended for resting in a lying or reclining position on a deckchair, reading a book, working at a computer, 60% may turn out to be insufficient because the sun will dazzle. You then have to consider premium or HDPE material.

-premium decor- provides almost 100% shading, only partially obscuring the area it provides shade.

HDPE- it gives a lot, because about 95% of shading. Suspended at an angle, it will drain water partially.

Mesh flag- gives about 40% shade. It clearly lowers the temperature in the place where it gives shade, but not as much as the premium material.

  1. Will it be dark under the sail? Will it darken a room at home?

The mesh sails let the sun through, which is why it is the brightest under them. Sails made of premium decor material will obscure you, but it will not be dark under the sail. The darkest sail color we offer is gray - gray and it absorbs the most light. The white color reflects the light - the effect is like putting a milky shade on a light bulb. It will not darken the rooms.

The sails are used to shade the designated place. We know, however, that they are also used for other purposes, e.g. to darken the room where you work with a multimedia projector - then choose the darkest color possible - (gray) or contact us to choose the best solution - we can also use other materials dedicated to various purposes, incl. shading / covering skylights in production halls.

  1. Does the side of the sail have to be cut into an arc? (see question 2)

In sails made of Premium decor materials, the sides are cut into an arch as standard, but it is not necessary. This can be dispensed with by using, for example, additional attachment points. However, the sail finished with bows cut inwards is much easier to tighten.

  1. Is it possible not to insert a label?

According to the company's policy, products made of Premium, Meshflag and HDPE materials must have the SunShade label sewn in a visible place.

We are the owner of the SunShade brand. SunShade is a brand registered and patented.

  1. How many pieces will the sail be sewn?

Decor premium material and Mesh flagsis delivered on rolls with a width of 160 cm. Products with at least two dimensions larger than 150 cm are sewn together and must be symmetrical, while practicing the principle that each product has as few joints as possible. The seams on the fabric are not waterproof.

Mesh mesh - it is available in widths up to 5m and is made entirely.

  1. Do I have to buy a mounting kit?

Mounting kits are always purchased from us separately. You do not need to buy them, especially if the sail will be assembled in an unusual way. However, it should be remembered that we always choose the size of the sail based on our accessories for assembly, if the client plans to use other accessories - he should choose the size of the sail himself.

  1. How are garden sails mounted?

The sails are mounted to the previously prepared assembly points.

Sails mounted in mesh corners have holes in the corners to be used in accordance with the information on the information sheet.

Sails mounted in the corners of decor premium material have snap hooks attached in each corner for attaching a sail.

Sliding sails and Roman blinds they have punched eyelets through which the line should be threaded so that the sail can be slid and pulled apart.

  1. Do you issue a VAT invoice?

Yes. The sails are subject to 23% VAT.

When sending sails abroad within the EU, 0% VAT may be charged for taxpayers who are active VAT payers in accordance with applicable regulations.

  1. What is the sail warranty?

There is a guarantee on the sails: 2 years if bought by a natural person and 1 year if bought by a company.

The warranty does not cover mechanical damage and damage caused by use contrary to the intended use and operating rules.

The damaged sail shall not be used until it is repaired.

  1. Can I collect the sail in person?

If collection in person is possible, it will not be possible to conduct an on-site consultation. There is also no exhibition on site. All details and doubts of the order should be clarified in advance by e-mail or by phone.

Pickup Address:

Shade4you (Labo Print logistics)

Ul. Szczawnicka 1

60-471 Poznań

The area is very large in case of problems with finding the pickup location - please go to the Labo Print reception desk for more information.

  1. Can I order by phone or do I have to go to the website?

The company's policy clearly indicates that the written form of the order (purchase via the Internet, e-mail, text message or letter) applies.

In special cases (e.g. when there is an error on the website and / or exceptionally with sails from the standard offer, you can order over the phone if the consultant agrees).

  1. The terrace sail is to replace the roof. What do you propose?

Due to the fact that the roofs are maintenance-free, we do not have a product that could be operated in such a way.

When it comes to the shading and / or rain protection function, both the sails and Roman blinds we offer have such functions, but their operation does not allow for maintenance-free use of the products. The least serviceable are gazebo belts, Roman blinds and HDPE sails (see points 1 and 2)

  1. The sail is to be hung over cars? Or maybe?

Due to the fact that the sail is not a maintenance-free product, it can be hung over cars, but under certain conditions. You need to secure the car so that in case of failure to dismantle the sail in strong wind, the broken sail does not damage the vehicle.

  1. A shade sail is supposed to protect against nosy neighbors, which one should I choose?

In order to protect themselves from their neighbors, customers most often choose sails made of decor premium material, which ensures the greatest discretion. If it is necessary to apply additional protection against, for example, cigarette butts that can be thrown from above, a mesh mesh with a flame retardant certificate or both solutions is also selected.

  1. The garden sail will hang among trees / vines, is it easy to clean?

It is best to choose a mesh sail for ease of washing (pressure washers) and price. We have to reckon with the fact that it may be enough for a maximum of 2 seasons.

Alternatively, use a decor premium sail and a mesh sail, so that all dirt remains on the mesh at the same time.

  1. Do I have to disassemble the sun sail when it is raining?

The materials we use to make sails are waterproof. They can hang in the rain. However, the sails made of premium material, apart from being waterproof, are also partially waterproof, so remember that it is unacceptable for water to remain on the surface of the sail. If there is no possibility of drainage - the sail should be dismantled or retracted to the side in the case of retractable sails and Roman blinds.

  1. What discount will I get when I buy 2 pcs / 10 pcs / 1000 pcs?

The starting prices are given for 1 item or 1 m2, on the website, depending on the number of square meters, a discount is automatically calculated for individual items. With more sails, we distinguish between wholesale and pallet quantities, so it's best to ask a question directly by e-mail for a future quoteoffice @ zaglesl oneczne.pl

  1. I need a non-standard finish .......... (Velcro, eyelets, other diameter, stainless steel, etc. ...)

There is a possibility of a different finish of the material - but please contact us by e-mail office@shade4you.eu for the technician to provide information about the functionality and legitimacy of the changes and to make people aware of the reduction / increase in strength.

  1. A garden sail is needed for now…. How soon can it be sent?

Sails in standard sizes and finishes are available immediately. If the order is received by 23:59, the next business day is shipped (if the payment has been posted or the courier payment has been selected - cash on delivery), and delivered the next business day (e.g. sails ordered on Wednesday by 23:59 will be shipped on Thursday and delivered on Friday). An alternative is also pickup in person at the company's headquarters after prior appointment in the form of an e-mail.

Pickup Address:

  1. I did not take the sail off when the wind was blowing, can it be repaired?

Depends on the size of the damage. Please send an e-mail with a photo of the damage. Information will come whether it can be repaired and what it may be related to.

SunShade only repairs clean and dry sails. Wet sails must not be shipped, it may cause permanent discoloration of the material.

  1. There is water on the sail during rainfall, what should I do?

(See question 16)

  1. The sail gives no shade where it was planned.

Depending on the situation, it is usually enough to:

  • Change the height of the sail (and / or the inclination of the sail);
  • Buy a second sail to have a larger sail area;
  • Buy a gazebo curtain to protect yourself from the setting sun.

Earlier, it is worth contacting by e-mail and sending a photo of the place where the sail is hanging with a description of the situation, so that we can identify the problem and find a solution.

  1. I bought a sail too big / too small in a different color and I want to replace it.

If the sail was not individually manufactured and not used - there is such a possibility - please send an e-mail with the information to office@shade4you.eu Information will come about how to do it most efficiently.

If you care about time - make a second purchase (see question 39), and in the meantime send an e-mail with information and send it with the sail too small as a resignation from the purchase.

  1. The garden sail lets water pass through.

Sails made of HDPE material and mesh netting have the right to leak as they are not impregnated.

The decor premium material is impregnated and when dry it has hydrophobic properties. If it becomes saturated with ambient moisture, it will let the water flow through. The seams are not waterproof.

  1. What are the eyelets in the sliding sail with stuck on the short sides for?

The meshes on the sides of the non-sliding ones are used to attach to the structure in order to protect the sail from sliding and sliding freely and to improve the way the sail is presented.

  1. Do I have to use all the mounting points?

The number of mounting points has been selected so that the sail can be properly tensioned and installed. To make the sail easier to tighten, additional mounting points should be used, if they are prepared and if it is possible to use them.

  1. I paid by bank transfer, and the courier came with a cash on delivery ...

It is possible that we did not manage to post the payment or that the cash on delivery shipment was selected, and there was no information that a transfer would be made, or the shipment was incorrectly sent.

  • You can refrain from picking up the parcel and send an e-mail with information about the situation (it will then return to the sender and be sent again - it usually takes up to 4 business days).
  • You can pick up the parcel from the courier and pay again, and send us information about the situation with the account number to which we are to return the overpaid amount.

  1. I bought a terrace sail from the sale offer, how can I buy a second one?

The sale offer usually includes individual products in non-standard sizes with a non-standard finish and may be of a color that is not used in the current season.

Production can take place on the basis of individual orders. See point 6).office@shade4you.eu

  1. I noticed that my order does not match the shipping address / color / dimension, how can I correct it?

Please call the numbers on page 518 537 385 as soon as possible and / or send an e-mail to office@shade4you.eu with information on how it is and how it should be - so that we can correct the data before shipment / production.

Curtain questions

  1. What material to choose the curtain from.
  2. How much wider should the curtain be to wobble?
  3. How are the curtains finished? Is it possible to sew the load on the bottom?
  4. I want to buy ... for example, which curtain should I choose?

  1. What material to choose the curtain from.

Our company produces curtains mainly from two types of material:

-premium decor -provides almost 100% shading, only partially obscuring the area it provides shade. It is available in four colors: white, beige, gray (gray) and green. It is made of a strong material with a weight of 200g / m2, it is impregnated to also protect against light rain. A curtain made of premium material separates the space (e.g. from neighbors), shades, stops wind and rain and fits perfectly with our roofs, because it is made of the same material from which sails, Roman blinds or gazebo belts can be made.

Mesh flag- comes in white factory-made with the possibility of one-sided printing, it is a light material, approx. 100g / m2, transparent. Gives lightness to the structure. It gives about 40% shade. Sitting in its shade, the temperature is clearly lower than in full sun, but not as low as when using curtains made of premium material. Providing discretion, it does not separate the space and you can enjoy the view from its other side and, importantly, "keep an eye on", for example, playing children. It slows down wind and rain, but ensures better air circulation than in decor premium curtains.

Sometimes we also make curtains from mesh, but it is a stiff material - it breaks more than bends, and therefore it does not look good. However, due to the ease of washing (with pressure washers), the price and resistance to frost, sometimes it is also worth considering this solution, but for such an application - it is a product for one season.

  1. How much wider should the curtain be to wobble?

Curtains if they will be installed outside, they should not be larger than the area where they are to hang. You should order exactly the dimensions of the distances between the mounting points, because the curtain will catch the wind and "pump" itself. By giving an excess of material, we would obtain an unattractive and impractical effect. The points are most often placed outside the structure along the axis of the vertical mullion, leaving min. 10cm from the bottom, so that in the event of the rope hanging, the curtain does not get dirty with the ground. The top line should be mounted at a height of about 5 cm from the beam along which it is to hang, so that it cannot be hooked with your head.

If the curtain is to be installed inside a building / conservatory, you can take an allowance of even more than 30%, it depends on the taste of the buyer.

  1. How are the curtains finished? Is it possible to sew the load on the bottom?

Curtains made of decor premium material, they have punched eyelets around the top and sides every 50 cm so that apart from the top, you can also run the line downwards. If the curtain hangs in the place where it passes to the other side, the rope must not be placed there, then the sides should be additionally pinned or tied to the vertical posts of the structure so that the curtain does not fly under the structure.

Curtain made of meshflag material has a sewn up tunnel and punched eyelets on the side so that it can be pinned or tied to the vertical posts of the structure.

The load must not be sewn at the bottom if the curtains are to be used outside !!!The curtains are made of a very strong material. Even a small wind will give strength to the curtain (large surface of the material), which can easily lift up to 5 kg. A gust of wind could lift the load sewn in the material and hit everything that would be within the curtain's reach (e.g. glasses on a table, a window by the house, and even severely hit people who might be there).

  1. I want to buy ... for example, which curtain should I choose?

(See question 1)

Sails are fixed at the corners

  1. Which side of the sail is printed on?
  2. Can additional attachment points be sewn to the standard sail?
  3. Do you make sails for individual orders? How to buy a sail for an individual order?
  4. What is the result of a line sewn in tunnels?
  5. How deep is the arc?
  6. Can't stretch the sail, hangs in the middle?

  1. Which side of the sail is printed on?

The print is on the right side of the sail.

  1. Can additional attachment points be sewn to the standard sail?

Yes, and it will be treated as custom production. See question 10

  1. What is the result of a line sewn in tunnels?

STITCHED LINK IN TUNNELS

Advantages:

  1. They make it easier to lay the side of the sail, which makes them look better,
  2. They increase the possibility of transferring higher loads by evenly distributing the force acting along the entire side.
  3. They provide additional protection against breaking the sail,

Disadvantages:

  1. They provide additional protection against breaking the sail (they should be mounted on very durable structures)
  2. The line is stiffer than the fabric and may obstruct the drainage of water because the line edge will be higher than the fabric
  3. it takes longer to install and you need to additionally have elements for tensioning the steel cord,

  1. How deep is the arc?

In sails fixed in the corners in Premium material, the sides are usually cut into an arc to a depth of about 20 cm. In triangles, the arches can be up to 45 cm deep, depending on the size of the sail. With small sails made to individual order, it is possible to make smaller bows. See point 35.

Due to the fact that the 20 cm arch is cut as standard, during assembly it can be made shallow on one side, distancing the assembly points from each other, at the expense of increasing the arch on the adjacent side.

  1. Can't stretch the sail, hangs in the middle?

Sail tension can be checked and adjusted. You can post a photo onoffice@shade4you.eufor the technician to see if the editing can be improved. Note, however, that it is impossible to get a flat surface from a sail. The sail works with the center, so it can be mounted only in the corners. It has the right to hang around, the more its surface is larger. You can modify the sail ...

Sliding sails, Roman blinds

  1. What is the difference between a sliding sail and a Roman blind?
  2. How is the sail extended, like a Roman blind, on how many lines are they extended?
  3. How much sail / roller blind hangs under the line and how much does it stick out above the line?
  4. Does the last flounce have to be so long in Roman blinds?
  5. How to extend the Roman blind, the sliding sail will be hung at a high height?

  1. What is the difference between a sliding sail and a Roman blind?

We make sliding sails from mesh and Premium Decor material, and Roman blinds only from Premium Decor material.

Premium material

The sliding sail and the Roman blind are made of the same material, have the same functionality (sliding), but have a completely different finish:

Sail extendablemade of fabric, it has punched eyelets every 50 cm, 2 next to each other on the sliding side. Pass the rope through the eyelets. After unfolding, the sail is arranged exactly as shown in the photos, creating a basin in the middle (in which, for Premium Decor sails, for example, it will want to collect water), which makes it more serviceable than a Roman blind. From a width of 2.3 m, in the middle of the sail width, made of Premium Decor material, a sling with protrusions is sewn onto which carabiners are attached to guide the third line through them in the middle.

Roman blindevery 50 cm there is a sewn-in tunnel into which an aluminum tube should be inserted to stiffen it, above the tunnel there is a belt with eyelets and a rope should be threaded through them. After unfolding, the roller blind folds to form a decorative valance, and each valance is also a gutter for draining water. It is enough for the roller shutter to be slightly tilted to the side (you can use the inclination of the structure if there is one or install cables at different heights in one plane) to drain excess water.

  1. How is the sail extended, like a Roman blind, on how many lines are they extended?

Premium Decor material

The sliding sail and the Roman blind are pulled apart by a handle placed at the beginning and end. Grabbing the handle and following it, it slides down and apart.

Sail extendableit is on two lines if the width is less than 2.3 m; from 2.3 m, it is extendable on 3 lines.

Roman blind depending on the width, it is extended:

  • Up to approx. 1.5 on 2 lines;
  • From about 1.55 to about 3.12 on three lines;
  • From about 3.15 to about 4.5 on four lines.

There are exceptions to this rule.

Mesh mesh

The sail should be extended by hand, you can use single eyelets on the non-sliding side and attach an opening handle to them.

  1. How much sail / roller blind hangs under the line and how much does it stick out above the line?

With a standard finish (meshes / tunnels every 50 cm):

Sail extendableabove the rope, it sticks out a maximum of about 3 cm after sliding, when it is extended it is about 1.5 cm. 18 cm when unfolded and about 30 cm when folded are hung under the surface of the lines.

Roman blind 0.8 cm above the line, and about 12 cm under the line when it is extended and about 28 cm when it is pushed back.

  1. Does the last flounce have to be so long in Roman blinds?

Final ruffles in Roman blinds are very important, they can be dispensed with only in justified cases.

Sometimes at one end it can be dispensed with if it is, for example, next to a building, will not be exposed to direct sunlight and / or will come into the window light and disturb. You can also sew up the tunnels more densely (for an additional fee) to make it shorter.

  1. How to extend the Roman blind, the sliding sail will be hung at a high height?

See question 12 and 16. If the roller shutter is installed at a height greater than 2.5 m, the easiest way is to tie a string / ribbon to the handle to reach it. You can also lengthen the frill and / or make a longer handle, but it will not always look good. Some customers use a system of pulleys and strings on their own, so that they can be slid and pulled apart while standing in place. If you want to use this solution, this fact should be noted when ordering, so that the finish would enable the use of the block system.
